This is the first time in along time it has rained but not stormed!! so we got to play in the rain..Natalie thought it was fun to get wet..we had to teach her to splash...this is the rain from hurricane Ike...it's a nice rain ..not like what they got in the Houston area.

Potty Trained!

OK I just noticed I never posted about her being potty trained...Natalie has been potty trained since June 9th...she only has had maybe 3-4 accidents....she doesn't even go in her panties at night....this is how it all happened...We had been reading all the potty books for weeks ...and so one night I was changing her diaper, and she ran off without her diaper....well Jubal likes to do reverse psychology on her to get her to do things and it does work.. so I decided to do it. So, I said to her don't you go pee pee in the potty..so she sat down and went pee pee in her potty...and that is the rest of the story... We think she was fooling us all this time?

Discovered Beenie Babies!

She found my stash...these beenie babies are my oldest sons...they are 22 and 24 now..we have had them awhile..who knows if they are worth anything now? But she has fun with them... her favorite is the red dog...because of Clifford the big red dog...she watches that on TV.

Baking Cupcakes

Jubal was out of town..and it was raining so me and Natalie decided to make cupcakes...it was alot of fun...she really thought the blender was a great thing...notice I took out the blades!!!!

Second Day Of School

This was Natalie's second day of school...she did great until I left...she cried for about 30 minutes...then quit...Everyday when I pick her up she says....mamma picked me up? I think maybe she is afraid that I won't come back for her...so now I tell her I will pick her up when school is over...about every day...she only goes to school on Tues. and Thurs...but this week she was much better..and is playing more with the kids and not as much crying.....

Goofing off!

We were just goofing off today..she found her daddy's dew rag (spelling?) and it was too cute...as you can see in some of the pictures..Natalie got her ears pierced...I had been asking her if she wanted to get them done,,,I told her it would hurt ..she would say no...then one day I asked her and she said yes..sooo I sent her upstairs to tell her daddy..we went and it was all great until the trigger was pulled..of course I forgot the camera....but she cried for about 1 minute and then they gave her a lollipop...everything was great after that...

One year ago yesterday!! We got the call!!

I can't believe it has been a year already since we got the call ....It's a girl..wow time does go by fast...It has been a great year for us and for Natalie..she has grown physically and emotionally so much...she isn't the same little girl !!! What a blessing we have gotten!!!

First Day of Mother's Day Out!!

Natalie started school today...she was so excited to go...she had her purse(with her blanket inside) her lunch kit....she was ready to go...until mom and dad left her there by herself....her teachers said she cried for 30 minutes....and then was ok...until rest time...she did not want to lay on her mat...she cried for 20 minutes...so they decided to get her up...she did pretty good for the first time we have ever left her by herself....it was real quiet around the house...but it is amazing how much you can get done without a little one wanting your attention 24/7!!!! we will see how Thursday goes...we asked her if she was going back to school on Thursday..she said NO? But she did learn the song Row Row Row your boat..she has been singing all day....

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Lake Blackwell in Stillwater Oklahoma...our friends Steve and Susan have a great camp site there....Natalie had her first boat ride and loved it!!! she played and played and fell asleep on the boat..so we put her in her wagon for a short nap...Garet , Natalie's big brother came over to see her..they had a great time playing too...he is in college at OSU.

Family Trip

We visited The Old Plantation in Medicine Park Oklahoma, and had lunch with all Jubal's aunts...they had the biggest chicken fried steaks I have ever seen..it was a great time. Then we headed to Mount Scott....what a beautiful view!!!!

Cowgirl!
